Join our Board of Directors!
A great way to get involved with the life of the centre is to join our volunteer Board of Directors.
Our volunteer board of directors consists of parents of children currently enrolled in the centre and community members of parents of children that have moved on from the centre. The Board oversees the general operation of the Centre.
The Board of Directors consists of up to 15 directors. The Board oversees the operation of the childcare centre and ensures the financial viability of the centre.
The officers of The Board of directors are elected each year by the centre’s membership (parents). Board meetings are held once per month from September to June. An Annual General Meeting is held in the spring of each year and all families and members are expected to attend. Each family has one vote per child enrolled at the Centre.
*All Board Directors need to obtain a Police Clearance Letter.

Decision Making
We encourage the continuation of nursing even after the child has entered the Centre. We will, in every way, attempt to accommodate mothers wishing to continue a nursing schedule at the Centre. It is, however, important for the child to accept a bottle or Sippy cup from the staff should the need arise. For this reason, it is advised that the baby be introduced to the bottle or Sippy cup before he/she is enrolled at the Centre.
